"I loved looking out at the sunrise over the lake each day! Well located to see the rustic back country of Downeast Maine. The house was nice, though it was evident that animals stay there. The kitchen could be better equipped, and patio furniture needs refinishing. Overall, though, it was a great place to stay."

"We needed a place to collapse and reset! This was perfect! Secluded and private with a beautiful sandy beach overlooking the lake. Not having to transport our own kayaks was a great plus; kayaks in good shape. The light over the main dining table was not working, as well as a few electric outlets -- we bought a lantern at Walmart in Calais and did just fine. Got a few really cold showers -- finally figured out one of us needed to shower in the am and the other in the pm to get 2 hot...

"PERFECT, PERFECT, PERFECT. Excellent lakefront property. Hoise is well loved and cared for. Very clean. Plenty of outdoor area to run around. The penisula is a great spot for morning sunrises and catching some photos of loons. Many kayaks to enjoy time on the lake, laumch right fromt the beach. Plenty of indoor activities as well. The owners thought of everything when preparing the home for vacationers. There was not one time cooking that we didnt have what we needed. Kitchen is well stocked...

"This was a perfect, private getaway. The views were absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunset and the only neighbors we saw were a couple wandering turkeys. The house is extremely well kept with some of the most plush carpets I've ever felt. I will definitely try to stay here again, hopefully in the summer to enjoy the rocky beach below!"

"Overall, our stay in Lubec was amazing! The location was fantastic - beautiful views, and less than 10 minutes from town. The house was lovely and well supplied. The lobster pot was perfect and the kitchen was very well stocked. There were a lot of flys in the house during our week there. Never did figure out where they came in the house, but they were bad and they did bite! Also a lot of spider webs that had not been knocked down in a while.
