"Loved staying here, the staff are lovely and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Room was cold on arrival but we were given an extra heater that did the trick in no time 👍. Nothing would put us off staying here again. Would definitely recommend staying here, we will stay again. Beautiful "

"A beautiful clean and central to everything b@b. Brilliant hist and fantastic breakfast. Could not ask for anything better. Parking in a secure car park 2 min walk away. You can park outside the Melrose for an hour with a parking disc from any shop or the b@b. In all we would highly recommend The Melrose."

"Fantastic place - can’t fault anything! Lovely, warm & cosy room with a nice calming view, good size & spotlessly clean. Amazing bathroom with bath & shower plus a TV for lounging in a piping hot bath after a days’ hiking. Beautiful high-quality toiletries & fixtures. Amazing breakfast & superb service from all staff. Plus it’s only a 15-minute walk to the lakeside. "
