"For me this was the most relaxing mini break I've had. Julie the owner/hostess is very friendly and chatty and nothing is too much trouble. Her rooms are spotless, bright and tastefully decorated. Depending on how your walking is, the beach is anything from 5-10 mins away, and what a beach it is. Julie's breakfast gives hotel chains a run for their money. "The spindrift guest house is excellent you get met at the door by the hosts Mark and Jeni, who make you feel so welcome like your part of the family. They show you around the breakfast room and the lounge . The rooms are big and comfy thw whole place is spotless. "The hostess is a gem! The house is quaint and peaceful. Fabulous breakfast and I love the living room on the bottom floor. Water pressure could be better, but that may just be an issue with the area so I wouldn't fault the propriator for that. The twin mattress in the room was meant for a small child. It was not comfortable for a third adult, but the main mattress was great. Still five stars because the owner is so accommodating and the place is very nice. "

"It's a student hall of residence so amenities and decor are very basic as expected, but you can't complain for the price, especially in the centre of St. Andrews in high season! A bargain really. Minor gripes - the shared bathroom(s) have very loud electric hand dryers that sound like a vacuum cleaner and can be heard several rooms away.. "The location of sea view cabin is amazing, waking up to that view every morning was perfection. The cabin was spotless cozy and warm, the attention to every detail was spot on. Communication with the host is on another level. We had the best time and can’t wait to return."
