Very helpful and friendly staff. Great night tours, fishing trips which set off from private jetty were very popular and that was also a great place for a sundowner!"

"Amazing stay! We came here for our honeymoon, and it was the perfect choice. One of the owners of the lodge, Sebastien, even picked us up and dropped us off at the airport himself. We were really impressed with this level of service! He and his partner, Christophe, were always so kind to us. Christophe even went above and beyond to help us get money back when we encountered a scam off of the resort. All of our meals were incredible! It was really fun to be surprised at each meal with what was being served, and we never had anything we didn’t like. They were very helpful in making sure we had everything we needed for our excursions and even walked us to the beach to make sure we got one the right boat. One of our favorite experiences was walking to the beach with the lodge dog- Oro! Our first walk down, he was our guide! It was very impressive and adorable. The honeymoon suite was amazing! It is off on its own, so you get a little extra privacy. The views are amazing too. We would love to come back here again one day and would recommend this spot wholeheartedly. "

"However you learn about Casa Rio Sierpe, from friends or the internet, you will never be fully prepared for the magic awaiting you. Mark provides a tome of useful information which is invaluable for orientation- absorb and follow it. He took the time to answer all of our naive questions without an issue. When we arrived in Sierpe we were met by part of the Casa Rio team, in our case Simone and Rueben. The two whisked our group from the real world into the grand adventure our following week would become. The trip through the mangroves to the dock was filled with sighting of crocs, monkeys and lots of birds. The legendary hill climb to the house is transformational and completely manageable. As you make the final turn and see the house you will realize what a great decision you have made. It is such a beautiful structure and the staff were so welcoming. The options are endless on ways to fill your days. We spent hours sitting on the deck watching birds and monkeys, went exploring the mangroves and fishing with Reuben, snorkeling with Simone at Caño Island, visited a local garden and spent a day in Corcovado Park. We chose to have Dolly prepare all of our dinners and we highly encourage everyone to do the same. She was such a great cook, wonderful person and we had a great time getting to know her. Thank you Mark and crew for sharing this slice of paradise with us, you all have created an experience we will never forget."

"Beautiful wildlife eco tourism facility. Many trails and opportunities right there to view the OSA Peninsula biodiversity. Meals were fabulous. We stayed in their one concrete “hobbit house” like facility which was Charming but lacked good sir circulation to cool down for sleeping despite 2 fans. "

"Our stay at the Treehouse was an amazing experience in every way, and we certainly intend to return. Woke up each day to parrots singing and monkeys swinging by and drifted off to sleep each night to the magical solitude of the rainforest. "It really is hard to put into words how amazing this place is. You truly are right in the middle of the best that the Osa’s nature has to offer. Michael is a great host and welcomed us when we got there. He gave us the run through of how everything worked and helped with any issues that came up. From resetting the WiFi, to helping us get to an early morning fishing tour by moving a downed power line in the middle of the road so we could get by with our vehicle. He told us about the New Years fireworks at a beach south of Puerto Jimenez which we were amazing to see. He is very knowledgeable of the area and the nature around him after being there for 26 years. The house itself is beyond interesting with its architectural and artistic flair. Once you realize that sitting around in the open jungle with lights on at night may not be the greatest idea due to the few but large insects that come by, you become accustomed pretty quick. We were usually tired after busy days out and generally went to bed early, but if we did stay up we hung out in the very large fully screened in bedroom on the main floor to visit and play cards. Waking up at the crack of dawn and pulling up a front row seat with a coffee overlooking the amazing forest/jungle scenery is hard to beat. It’s National Geographic TV right in front of you from groups of Titi monkeys, to macaws, toucans, and countless other birds, butterflies, etc. I would highly recommend spending at least a couple days right around the prop"
