"The owners felt more like family than "just someone renting a vacation home". The location was exactly what we were looking for. Comfortable Exciting. Sometimes a bit thrilling! The music was playing when we arrived. We felt so welcome. The beds were comfy and the sofa was inviting but nothing (even the pictures) quite prepared us for the view. We saw dolphins, flying fish, whales, a turtle, pretty fish , and a shark! Lots of boating activity to watch as well as canoers and swimmers, and even divers.This is truly a cooker's kitchen! Lots of ways to make your stay a foodie feast. We were thrilled by high surf conditions so the blowhole was blowing! The natural pool is a great way cool off on a sunny afternoon. Plenty of seating options and umbrellas. We might have spent most of our time on the spacious lanai, soaking in the scenery and sunsets. Be careful though! Passion flowers are blooming and they are too pretty to step on! We spent a week up in town, and as nice and fun as that is, we were ready for some peace and quiet, sounds of the birds and the surf, and cold mai tais out in the lounge chairs. Bring your binoculars!!! There's a lot going on out in the ocean, and if you luck out and are there during whale season, you won't be disappointed. We absolutely loved Hale Pali, and hope to return! "

"Relaxing, peaceful stay. Kay's place is easy short walk to Manini Beach for snorkeling and water activities. It's a great place for investigating things along the Kona coast. Host was very responsive, helpful, and answered all of our questions."

"Great host, great location. About an hour from Kona, definitely need a car to get around to other areas of the island. But the area is very scenic so the drives were nice. The host was really responsive and left us a bottle of wine and chocolates. Would stay at the house again. "

"Our cute yellow bedroom was adorable. We spent evening hours out on the lanai - Reading out on the lanai was so relaxing! Listening to all the nightly chirping was cool. Emma cooked wonderful breakfasts that started our days eating upstairs on their outdoor patio. Carl shared all the fruits around their home that Emma used. Location was great - we went to one beach 2.5 miles south and saw fish and a sea turtle. Snorkeled at step down beach - cool fish seen. We ventured 15 -25 min for evening meals. Note: downtown Kona parking charges $15/hr - we stayed for one hour to view all the artisans at their art show. Again great b& b - highly recommend!"

"This property encapsulates the Hawaiin spirit - beautiful wildflowers, fruit trees, animals, song birds with a view of the ocean. Away from people, yet not far from Kona, the Black Sand beach or National Park. We loved It here. The owners picked a fresh bouquet of flowers for us and oranges from their trees."

"Absolutely a beautiful spot to stay! And just what we wanted, a little spot off the beaten path. Beautiful place, gorgeous property and a sighting of the resident donkey! David, the owner met us for check in and provided information. Sufficient equipment in the kitchen to cook meals. Lovely to sit out on the porch to sip beverages and hear and see the birds. We were doing local hikes and taking in the sights at the national volcano park and it’s a 45 minute drive -very doable and lovely. And though the property description mentions that there is no Wi-Fi, we had great cell service. Would definitely recommend this place and we would like to come back!"

"It was a nice quiet place to stay while I was getting a few things done at my house. The parking was right next to the yurt. The bathroom and sink are in another building. There was a microwave and fridge. The coffee was good. It was windy and the outer window coverings were really loud, so bring earplugs just in case. It was nice to see the stars while laying in bed. I would stay again."
