"Lovely stay at the Royal Sonesta downtown. The location was very nice. We enjoyed being close to the river and having access to the shopping and eateries. The bed was comfortable but the pillows weren’t as good. We were on the 29th floor so While you could hear the train and some traffic noise it was muffled. The elevators were fast and the wait for them was short, although they were small so only a few people if everyone had a suitcase with them. The fitness center was nice with two Peloton bikes but one was broken. There’s a water station in the gym as well so we used it to fill our water bottles during the stay, which was nice. The views from the hotel were great. Only caveat is that the Trump tower is across the way and the lights from the sign were bright- thank goodness for the blackout curtains! The front desk staff was attentive and knowledgeable. We were able to check in early which was really nice. Overall a lovely stay. "

"My husband and I travel fairly often and are picky about hotels. Westin was the right price and very comfortable. We were able to check in early and got a lovely room facing the lake. Beds are fantastic, the shower was very nice. Love that there's a restaurant on site and although the "resort Fee" is BS, at least we could use it toward food and drink at the restaurant and at the Starbucks in the lobby. Our only minor complaint is that the workout room is not clearly marked. Just needs better signage. Would love to come back agian in the summer and enjoy the beach nearby."

"This is such a cool spot!!! It’s like walking into the past with updates!! Everything from the the elevator to the staff to the extras were above and beyond!! Free coffee and tea and scones, and we got a free bottle of wine with our room!! We stayed on the 17th floor and didn’t hear a peep from any of our neighbors! It’s within walking distance of so many cool spots, not having to uber was a huge plus!! I cannot recommend enough!!"
