"Realy enjoyed being able to spread all our stuff out and have a base for a few days. Casas del Toro is a large place with beautiful views over MonteVerde. A nice bonus is the laundry room with washer and dryer. Close proximity to town. I saw some monkeys walking to town. Only draw back is the wifi was slow, not the best for video calls. Also, getting in and out of the shower/tub was tough as the tub is high. A stool might help. Otherwise, great stay, with nice parking spot. I would return."

"Loved this place, the property is beautiful with lots of trees and the river right behind it that my kids wnjoyed exploring. Felt very inmersed in the Costa rican nature and the place itself had verything we needed and accomodted all of us bif family. Loved the clean white cotton bed sheets and soft mattresses. We cooked several meals there and reated very well. The personnel was excellent and helpful. Had our clothes washed in 2 hours right on time for our trip.Th"

"I love the brand new building and all the hanging plants around the balcony was pretty. The kitchen had all ample utensils for cooking. The bathroom was beautifully put together. Not 1 bug got in the whole week I was there which for me made for a good nights sleep. There are 2 dogs next door that bark but its not too bad. Honestly I came to realize that I like those dogs barking some to keep bad people away even though the property is gated. I always bring ear puddy on my vacations anyway I find...

"Breathtaking view and comfortable stay! Huge tree with multiple varieties of birds including Toucans! Our hosts made our time very special. They provided breakfast items for our refrigerator and gave us great tips on area attractions. Their adjacent restaurant was a short walk away with delicious shakes and a variety of good food! With the volcano and lake right there we enjoyed Water activities as well as gorgeous hikes! "

"This place is a dream. You might think the pictures make it look too good to be true, but honestly the pictures don't even do it justice. "Rooms were quiet until we were awakened by the wonderful sounds of birdsong. Professional massage parlor located directly across the street, and mini-market one block away, as well as bicycle rental. Gated entrance added to our feeling of security. Wish we could have stayed longer!"

"We were there for just a one night stay. Clean and all we needed to crash after a long day! There’s a beautiful view of the lake and a nice yard as well. The owner was a little more chatty than needed but was very kind. No wearing your shoes inside which seemed a little odd as our feet were dirtier than our shoes. Overall a nice place and would definitely recommend!"

"Spacious accommodations and friendly host. Host was responsive and very helpful. Beautiful views but in the Lake Arenal area, which is quite secluded. There is one small, delicious restaurant 400 meters away, but not walkable. LaFortuna is approximately an hour drive, must have a car if staying here. It was a very pleasant stay, but not in the location listed."

"This is such a hidden gem! It was a bit trickier to find with my shuttle bus but Gabriela was outstanding communicating to provide me with directions and reference points ahead. When I walked in, I was in awe. It was the perfect tiny home with luxury of daily necessities. Everything was immaculately clean, with many thoughtful touches to make it as comfortable as possible with strong wifi, tv, air conditioning, kitchen, crockpot, kettle, electric grill, microwave, fridge, laundry line, etc....
