"This house in Santa Elena is so cool! Our family of 5 stayed here for three nights. The house itself is well maintained, very spacious and clean. The views around the property are gorgeous and the surroundings are lush and so peaceful. We had Consuelo cook for us one nights and it was the best as she prepared food and cleaned up everything after. We got to relax after a long day. And Consuelo is so sweet and helpful. Wonderful stay and would highly recommend! "

"We loved our stay at the farmhouse. Location was great, house and grounds are beautiful. My husband and I like to cook our own meals, and this was the best stocked kitchen we have ever had. Bonus points for providing shampoo, conditioner and body wash in both showers. That was a first as well. "

"The property was a perfect getaway from our busy lives. Secluded deep in the jungle, we enjoyed a week among nature seeing birds, monkeys, quash, and other animals. The meals cooked by the staff and the nearby tour guide, Robert, were also worth it!"

"We had a wonderful stay at the Mahogany Hall. They were so friendly and accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious. They made sure that we were able to eat before our tours in the morning and even prepared our dinner a little early on the day of our arrival because we had not eaten. Cant say enough, it was so wonderful."

"Loved the privacy - close to town but not in town. You can hear and see wildlife all around the cabin. Adam & Rebecca are accommodating, responsive, and helpful. The cabin itself is lovely - I appreciated the screened in porch, full kitchen, AC, and ceiling fan. The shower has good hot water and water pressure too (look, everyone has their own priorities.) Would definitely recommend to anyone who doesn't want the noise of being in town/wants to enjoy the jungle. Would generally recommend...

"Since the time of the reservation, our host was very helpful, attentive, and thoughtful through the email communication. Even after the cancellation of the reservation due to the tropical storm Sara, she was very sweet, helpful and understanding!! I would definitely recommend her and her property."

"The picture of the house was from the back. If a photo had been included of the front we wouldn’t have stayed. Nice inside but didn’t feel safe."

"Great place with heavy security. Not sure how needed it was but made us feel safe. Suite was very large and accommodating. Nice small pool was great. Would happily stay again :)"

"Really great place. Awesome views of the river and surrounding nature (birds, iguanas, etc). Walking distance to both towns. Don't forget to get some salsa."

"We looked forward to sitting on the deck each morning overlooking the Mopan River with a cup of coffee and listening to the jungle wildlife as the sun came up. Breakfast was always delicious with fresh, local ingredients prepared by an amazing chef. The location of this property is perfect for accessing all of the things to do and see near San Ignacio!"

"We had the best time at Villa Cayo! The cabin kitchen is very well equipped and we had the most comfortable bed. We saw all kinds of birds, every morning, even toucans! The property works better for guests with a car, but they'll assist you with transfers, tours and even taxi cabs. Virginia, Ken, Luis and each one we met at the property were wonderful! They make you feel very welcome! Great place if you're looking for a restful vacation! We can't wait to return to San Ignacio and stay here...
