"Brilliant place for some October sun with great staff, good pool, stunning cliffs and beach, plus fresh gluten free buffet options daily. Only a 10min walk to a very well stocked local supermarket and many excellent local restaurants in Olhos dÁgua. The apartment was clean and spacious, and although a complimentary bottle of water was provided, it could do with a cafetiere/coffee machine (especially as complimentary tea, coffee, oil and salt/pepper is not provided). "It's a beautiful hotel, with a laid back feel and design. The gardens are carefully designed, planted and maintained. There's a lilypond with frogs! The staff are unerringly charming and helpful. The cocktails are top quality. It doesn't feel like an anonymous big chain hotel. Food - excellent. Only downsides...indoor pool is beautiful but jacuzzi and changing area need an upgrade. Some of the entertainment was local and impressive...the English duo were....more Butlins for me. But some guests...
