"Always love our stays at The Highlands. Clean, lots to do in the area and amazing overall property! "

"Older resort but has a lot of charm. Because it's older the lobby has that older smell to it when you walk in. Parts could be updated to some of the buildings. We rented an economy room with twin beds and a bunker up top in the Lodge building. The room was clean and cozy with comfortable beds and pillows, bathroom, table and TV with mini fridge and coffee maker and closet with ironing board . The grounds and view were gorgeous. "It was all here, and so perfect! It was the exact right spot I had hoped for. The feeling of beach front simplicity and the sound of all those waves. The little cabin had all that was needed including a lovely fire pit just ready for a match. I enjoyed every moment!"

"This is it! Everything about Lakemore Resorts and the surrounding areas is ALL you could ask for on a trip. The properties are beyond well appointed and everything has been thought of and arranged. The houses are new and warm and perfect. The city is incredible. We were there for the weekend but wish we could have stayed all week. We will be going back again (and again!). The staff was prompt and efficient and incredible. I travel the world for a living and this is one of my favorite trips."

"Nice beach getaway on Lake Huron. An old motel converted into rental units. Quaint and nostalgic, though lighting could be improved. Quiet and beautiful view. Close to many attractions and restaurants. Swimming good. Generally clean and well kept; some floors slope noticeably. We will likely return."

"My husband and I loved staying here, very clean property, decorated for fall. We were in the area for a family wedding and so even though we were not here at the property very much, it was a great place to return to in the evening. Dog friendly, even had doggie waste bags available. Fully stocked. The coffee maker is a Keurig, so keep that in mind when wanting coffee, bring some k-cups. Wifi worked great. "Clean, affordable, cozy place on the lake for a getaway. Host was very accommodating, beds were comfortable. The lake wasn’t busy at all so it was very peaceful."
