"To entrance is within the porte cochere. Middle of the block. You can avoid paying the $40 per day valet charge and self park at the hanover st garage or the foundry garage. We parked at the foundry garage for $1/ hr. Its a 4 minute walk from the hotel. Everything in downtown portsmouth is within walking distance and felt very safe. "Stayed in an end unit and it was spacious but kind of beat up around the edges: chipped paint on the floor trim and door, rust on bathroom heater, bathroom tiles misaligned. "The place and our room was very clean. They put us in a room very close to the entrance of the inn because I told them beforehand my mom was disabled and couldn’t walk far. It was very quiet, comfortable, and relaxing. The breakfast was good. The staff at the front desk were phenomenal.
