"This was the second time my husband and I stayed here but this time I brought my family and friends. 9 of us total. I communicated with Justin via email and he was so accommodating with my requests. It was even nicer that I got to meet him in person when we checked in. We love the private onsen in our room and that we can also reserve the public ones as well Atmosphere is so relaxing. So far we have gone to 4 or the 8 you can reserve so we will need to return again to try the others. I left my phone in the onsen and the gentleman ran back to get it for me. I'm sorry I didn't get his name but he is always smiling, tall and wears glasses. We opted for breakfast together and they gave us a private room with a beverage bar just for our group. Next time we will do kaiseki dinner there as everyone enjoyed the breakfast. Thank you for the great service from you staff! "

"Amazing experience. The staff is very helpful and friendly and the meal is delicious if you are into traditional Japanese style meal set. We had private spring room and it's really good. One thing to notice is that the hotel needs to confirm some details in advance, like selecting meal time if it's booked. Due to technical problem with hotels.com, they can't receive the response message, so I need to call them directly. I asked my previous hotel front desk to help and it's very smooth. Otherwise you will choose at check in but your preferred time slot might not be available."

"It was quite at night, clean, and the staff were very nice. Only 2 down sides I saw were that there was no safe in the room I stayed in and that the shower randomly got hot."

"I loved the decor of my bedroom - little Japanese touches which made it feel special. The location was also excellent and easy to find, being close to the Gion corner and 10 minutes walk or so to the train station, shrines and shops. The staff were also very helpful and the free breakfast (of rolls and pastries) was perfect."
