"I hadn’t stayed at a hostel before this one, and I was skeptical of any lodging outside of Hotels, Air BnB, and family/friends. I saw this spot had great reviews and the price was perfect for me just moving to NYC with no apartment yet. Once I got there, I realized how spoiled I was & how much I could’ve saved if I had started staying at hostels sooner! The spaces is filled with so many different people from all over the world! Families, individuals & groups were all present. Seeing families...

"Lamartine Chelsea is in a great location, close to Times Square, Broadway, The High Line, and so on. It's a great price for the city. Nothing fancy but it's clean and comfortable. We don't spend much time in our room when we go to New York so it was just a place to sleep and clean up. Fantastic spot if that is what you are looking for. Check in was smooth and they let us leave our bags there after check out until we were ready to head home. "

"I can not rant and rave enough about this property. I can not wait to stay here again! The vibes were immaculate, very chill and open. Front desk was there to help with any questions I’ve had. I love the in-house bar and coffee bar. They always have events. I stayed two nights in the all womens dorm. When I stayed it was poetry night Friday then R&B night Saturday. Love the lounge and computer areas. Despite the events, the rooms are very quiet. I heard nothing! And I got to meet some cool...

"Great place. I stayed at HI Hostel the night before, and I prefer the completely enclosed 'pods' at Kama and how it locks, so it can also act as your luggage storage. Only issue I had was that there are ONLY two USB ports inside the bunk, and they both seemed broken - they would not charge my phone fast enough and it died while charging."
