"The face lift this place has received from when it was the Sands is amazing for sure. Everything looks beautiful. We only stayed for a night, so it was just a place to sleep. The bed was comfortable and the blackout curtains worked well. The toiletries in the bathroom were nice, and there was a clothing steamer to use, which was awesome. My only complaint is the coffee offering in the room was those pod machines, which never produce a decent cup of coffee and there was no coffee shop downstairs. Oh, and even though the bed itself was comfortable, those pillows were so overstuffed they were borderline not usable. It would be cool to have firm and squishy options available on the bed for folks who have physical issues like myself who need the choice. Bottom line is it's a great hotel option, they've really done a great job with the renovations, and I hope they continue to make the small tweaks that will make it an above and beyond property in the tired downtown Reno area. "
