I think the best thing about choosing this hotel is the location where it’s in Gion and is super close to the Kiyomizu-dera area. You don’t have to be squeezed onto the bus getting to these tourist spots which is the BEST point, everyone should book a hotel in Gion for at least one night but not necessarily have to be this hotel LOL Price. Would be great for a value with larger families, but be prepared to understand the busses or get a taxi, not a ton to do in the immediate area. "It was a nice stay if you want to stay somewhere traditional. We stayed for one night ant the guest house and we wanted the experience. The place didn’t feel clean. We saw French fries and napkins on the floor when we checked in. Overall it was a good stay. The bedding was very comfortable.
