"Best beach by far. Location pretty isolated from the party scene downtown which is perfect if looking for relaxing time. Property is very well kept and staff is attentive. Three places to eat were typical fare and priced fine. Villa's are hit and miss due to age and up keep. Overall would stay again as it was such an amazing property. You do need a car or prepare to hire driver/taxi...nothing within walking distance, extreme hills on road in/out."

"Puerta Azul is a quaint boutique style hotel with private little cabins. They have a nice restaurant and provide breakfast every morning. Everyone who works there is super nice and friendly. Location is quiet and away from the crowds of the West End. If you want to go anywhere, they provide transportation. The best part was snorkeling right off the dock. The reef was full of coral and fish. They also had free paddle boards and kayaks and you can rent snorkel equipment for $10 for the whole week....

"Where to begin…the room was dirty, old, broken. There was loud music till 2 am. The shower was a glorified tap. There was no warm water. The only thing we liked was the AC. "It was a unique small resort that was beautifully landscaped, felt a little like you were in the jungle. It was quiet off the beaten path. We felt very safe.
