"The Crow Park is in a row of similar hotels and bed & breakfasts. There are stairs to get up to these properties and more stairs to get up to the rooms, but we didn't mind as we had a lovely view out our window from the top of the hotel. Our main issue was that the room was quite warm--lucky us! That meant that we had perfect weather! The front desk provided us with a small fan, which helped! "Hit really lucky weather wise it was a beautiful weekend, B&B is in excellent location just a stones throw from Ambleside town we checked in efficiently with Jo who is really warm and welcoming - room was comfortable and well presented with everything we needed. Spent 2 lovely days around Ambleside with a great breakfast to set us up each day. Would recommend and return."

"Wonderful place to stop while hiking the coast to coast trail. Didn't realize you had to walk around the building to check in just off the parking lot, since we didn't arrive by car. Steph was so welcoming and did a load of wash for us for a small donation in their cup on the bar. A fire alarm went off at 450 am bolting us out of bed. Turned out to be nothing but I think I remember reading about this happening before in someone's write up. Dinner and breakfast was good! "

"We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge on Bassenthwaite Lake. The lodge was spacious and comfortable---well equipped for everything we needed for our three night stay. It was in a great setting, just yards from the water and very quiet. It was well located for visiting other areas of the Lake District, including restaurants and a distillery close by and the market town of Keswick and Derwentwater about 15 minutes away. We would definitely stay here again on a return trip to the Lake District. "
