"my husband and I and our four children stayed for a week at this property. The view was beautiful. The bathrooms were nice and clean. However, the kitchen was under cared for. We noticed coffee grounds in the silverware tray and felt the need to wash all of the dishes prior to using them due to grease. The couches were very small and it was difficult to relax on them. "My husband and I spent 5 days to take advantage of the fresh snow. Brought our pup who absolutely had the best time in the hige yard. Met a neighbors cat and saw deer right out front. House stays really warm. Very comfortable. "

"Back for year 2 at The Blake and had another wonderful long weekend right in the heart of BR. Perfect location allows us to walk to shops, dinner, coffee, etc. - a complete necessity for teenagers needing to spread their wings while with mom and dad. Also made us the envy of everyone else jockeying for parking on a busy holiday weekend. The home is perfect for two families and always so thoughtfully decorated and stocked. The grandsons were immediately drawn to the loft, and the children’s furniture enhances its intrigue. "It's a great location and looks to be very dog friendly. Only 15 min to downtown Boone & 15 Min to Blowing Rock. We didn't bring the dogs this time but will definitely keep it in mind the next time visiting the area. If you find my toothbrush let me know. I think I left it. "
