Perfect location to meet our daughter who is a student at McGill and lives nearby. Very convenient for shopping and night life. We requested a quiet room and could sleep very well. Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby.

Adequate value for price charged.
Room was clean, neat, and quiet. The only thing missing was a refrigerator--no snacks for purchase and no place to store one's own snacks. Carpet throughout hotel needs replacement. Finishes in common areas are as utilitarian as one would have expected to find in Soviet-era Leningrad.

Convenient but noisy and Not emergency light!
Nice location but we arrived when there were a lot of young adults from a lacrosse teams in the hotel.The hotel did not reserve a floor for people outside these teams and all the players were in the foyers drinking and speaking louder.The second night a blackout happened in the area and the hotel had the emergency lights just in the foyer but not one in the room!!

No wifi and no back up generator
Poor customer service. There was a power outage and the hotel had no back up generator or flash lights. This meant sitting in a dark, cold room for 2 hours in the middle of the night. When there was power, their wifi did not work. I was there on business and had no internet connection to work from. They did nothing to help the situation. There was no rebate on the room price for the inconvenience. I would not recommend staying here.

convenient but run down
We were happy that the hotel was close to the Royal Victoria Hospital and the concierge was very professional and helpful. The room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. However, the hotel was very rundown and dated and our room had a terrible odour. We tried to go for a walk at night and had to turn around due to alcoholics, drugs and other interesting behaviors - did not feel safe. Would not book there on next visit.

Affordable hotel in great location.
The hotel staff was courteous, plenty of restaurants in the area so we didn't need it at the hotel. We loved the extra towels, the room was cleaned, it had great information available to us and the beds were very comfortable. People make the mistake of over thinking and over planning too much during their stay. Montreal is about packing a picnic and eat at one of the community parks. Stop in a café, sit out in a patio and enjoy your favourite drink and companion. Don't hesitate, stop in the shops even if you can't afford it. There's much to enjoy and creativity in the arts in Montreal. Don't over think it, enjoy the moment!

Horrible!
Booked this hotel for one of our Technicians. Monday morning came in to find an email with pictures of the hotel and surrounding area.... Nothing like posted on the website. There are hookers and drug users all over the area, garbage rolling around like tumbleweeds, and the hotel looks like it is a bout to clapse. This is been very embarassing for me as I was the one who booked the hotel based on the reviews on hotels.com. Never will I recommend anyone stay here. This hotel should cease to exist. Wouldn't stay here if it was free.

Overall, staying in this hotel was a very good experience. The location could not be more central to all the action in Montreal. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel itself was clean. My only complaint is that the bed was hard and the edge of the mattress was even harder.

Overnight stay at Quality Inn Downtown Montreal
Staff were very friendly. Underground parking is a little bit cramped due to the tight spaces and costs money but includes in/out privileges. Room was clean and the hotel was in good condition. No restaurant but there is a Tim Hortons connected to it. Good location for tourists as it is situated in the downtown core. Great for shopping and exploring McGill University as it is within walking distance to St. Catherine Street and the school. Very satisfied.
