The cottage is behind the main house (communicated to us in advance) and has to be accessed from a back street (this was not communicated and took a moment of problem-solving, thus a rating of 4. "This is a cozy little home in a small town within a nine minute drive of Turkey Run State park, and nine miles from Shades State Park and Rockville ( which has some quaint specialty and antique stores). The host has it well stocked (above and beyond what most VRBO hosts do) with snacks, condiments, and a coffe bar! Stacie was very responsive to all my texts and questions throughout our stay. It suited my sister and I well for our stay."

"So glad we found this as a small family gathering place for locals and for out of towners. The place was huge with plenty of space for talking and games. The pre lit tree was perfect and we had just enough decorations to make it festive. Loved the alexa availability to play Christmas and classic rock!"

"The property was nice. The main house was nearby but we still felt we had privacy. The location was good. Not a busy area. Bedrooms were in the back which is nice if not everyone goes to bed at the same time. It suited our needs. Cute place."

"This was our first VRBO rental and it did not disappoint!! We wanted to "get away" and that is exactly what we did. "The Getaway" was beautiful, clean and the hot tub was amazing. We will be back in the warmer months to try out the pool. Communication with the host was easy and the local food was great!! Thanks Lisa and family for allowing us to enjoy your home!!"

"Our family stayed here over the weekend to watch an Indiana State University football game. The neighborhood was really cute, and the house was close to the football stadium as well as a Walmart. The house was very clean and well organized and there was lots of room to relax, eat and catch-up after the football game. “Hey Google” kept us entertained as we asked lots of questions and changed the light colors in the rooms multiple times.
