"We booked this hotel for it supposed good restaurant only to be told it was shut as chef was away,so we eat in a pizza takeaway. The bar is a tiny room in the basement with three chairs,it was suggested that we have a drink outside which was even less appealing with two chairs a dead tree and dog muck. "this was a brief snow holiday to the Sierre Chevallier area. The Auberge de Violaine is a 5 minute walk from the Monnetier lift base. Its a quiet well presented small hotel / large guesthouse. Food was great, just what you need after a day on the hill rooms were tidy and clean beds were wonderful"

"This was the perfect place for us (two families) to stay for a week of skiing. Very spacious with a great open living space and cosy log burning stove. The hosts were very courteous and welcoming and even helped us get our cars out after a week of heavy snow. Great property and highly recommended."
