"Everything was great. Location perect. Everything was in walking distance...farmer's market, French bakery :-). we stayed for 8 days with our two Boston Terriers and Riki's Santa Barbara Cottage was a great choice."

"Booking was based off upper unit, received bigger lower unit which was nice. Only feedback would be to update listing. Lower unit has front porch which was great. Inside had all you needed. "We booked this house last minute for our fall break trip. It was great for so many reasons!! They allowed dogs, was one house off the sand, had great views of the beach/ocean/jetty from the patio, easy access to grocery and food options, plus there was a fire pit, sauna, and hot tub! The house was clean and well stocked with all the basic amenities. Drew the owner was very communicative and friendly. "

"A lovely well equipped old Balboa Island cottage. Tastefully furnished. The bathroom is downstairs whereas the two bedrooms are upstairs. The location is near the main streets on the Island - Marine Ave and Park Ave. I would prefer to stay again at the quieter end of the Island Near the Ferry. "

"Me and my family love this beach cottage! We had rented it back in 2018 and had a great time so we returned this year and will return again in the future. The cottage is right on the sand, 2 blocks down from the boardwalk, so you can easily walk or ride a bike to get to the pier or any of the many shops and restaurants. The only issues we had were: 1. "Loved this cottage! It was exactly as described, close to the beach and walking distance to shopping and restaurants. We rented bikes at Newport Pier, about 4 blocks from the house. They do have a small garage but we parked on the street. My husband and I stayed with our 2 teenage kids."

Between the grill with propane ready to go and the modern appliances and the well equipped kitchen,dining in was east and fun. Comfy beds, laundry access, and AC unit were great. We never got a response. We tried to contact hotels.com with no success. We finally were able to speak to someone at The Evolve Team, which is the company that manages this vacation rental. "Our first trip to Newport did not disappoint. This boardwalk/beachfront property was exactly as described. High-end amenities and furnishings with spectacular views and easy beach access makes this property ideal for families. Living room and master room fireplaces made the home cozy on rainy days. Beach cruisers available to ride the boardwalk were super fun. Garage with access to washer and dryer was great! Location was perfect with easy short walks to restaurants and shopping.
