"We had the most incredible stay here while visiting Hakone. The location is ideal: a 2 min walk from the main train station and right on the river. Waking up to the sound/view of the river is just magical. The team working here is incredibly nice, hospitable and accommodating. We did the half board and the food was delicious and varied. "My husband, daughter and I spent our last night in Japan at this property. At the time of booking, rooms with a private onsen were sold out. We missed out on the experience but we stayed at the Annex (a little outdated but Ok). Check in and check out were a breeze. Very polite clerks. "The property was beautiful and the views of the bay fantastic. It was one block from the subway and a good-sized market with a great variety of foods available. My only complaint was that the check-in staff was pretty cold and not so welcoming. Also we paid a great deal for the larger room we had for three people but the hotel insisted on charging us a significant per night fee for my teenage son.
