"Hands down one of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had in my life. The tiny house was clean, wonderfully decorated. It included snacks and some small gifts that made the stay even more special. "The most peaceful experience I had while in CR, it is nestled in the mountains full of flowers, and birds! The food is fresh, affordable and tasty. We went to a few restaurants in the area and they were the best option. They carry Suiz y Tico beer, highly recommend. My favorite was laying on the hammock outside my room watching the rain, lightning, and hummingbirds!"

"This is place to be in if you are a nature lover. This place is so serene and peaceful. The staff especially, Emel and Carlos took care of us so dearly. We felt as if we are home and they really took care of whatever we need. However, you need all wheel drive to get to Monteverde and also to this Hotel. That was the only hiccup we had. Once we reached there, it was very fabulous experiece. "

"Bahia Rica Was an oasis in Paquera. We stayed for one night and did the bioluminescent tour and Isla Tortuga. The guest house was a rustic sanctuary where you feel one with nature. "We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Castillo. The terrace had an amazing view of Arenal volcano, and we saw so many birds in the backyard. It was amazing to have coffee in morning and watch clouds roll through valley and listen to birdsong. The location is convenient for getting to Fortuna and nearby parks for hiking, but Castillo feels much more quaint and quiet for enjoying peaceful evenings. "The property and experience were unforgettable. It all started with the most hospitable and helpful host, Emel. He made us feel welcome and even helped us get pizza delivery to the glamping tent. "We loved our stay at Cala Lodge! The staff went out of their way for us and gave us good information on many questions about the area. They even set up a birding guide for us; Roy Porras was excellent, top notch! We saw so many great birds from our deck and the breakfast area!!!
