"Our stay at Walworth Castle Hotel was truly memorable, not just because of the stunning setting, but thanks to the incredible staff who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Adrian, part of the breakfast team at the 1189 Kitchen & Bar, was friendly, attentive, and made sure we started each morning with a smile. The service was excellent, and his warm demeanor really stood out. A special thank you to Mary at reception, who took the time—despite it being a busy period—to personally show us the castle’s dungeon. It was such a thoughtful gesture and added an unexpected and fascinating highlight to our stay. Her enthusiasm and kindness made a big impression on us. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique and welcoming getaway."

"After a late arrival we were informed that the pool, sauna, steam room and gym were all still open which was a nice welcome after a long drive. We followed this by a drink in the bar area, service was noticeably stretched this particular evening due to a wedding party (possibly two), and an 80th birthday celebration meaning tables were not getting cleared and bar service was slow. However, the hotel is lovely, the staff are friendly and rooms very nice, although the shower in our room, 411, requires attention. Overall, we’re very much enjoyed our stay and would come again. "

"Car park is relatively small, with 2 large 4x4s on there, it was a bit of a nightmare to park at first. There is an overflow car park though (perhaps exceedingly large vehicles should be disallowed or only allowed on the overflow?) Staff are excellent, especially Anna and the gentleman (whose name i didn't get) who served us for breakfast the first half of the week, both are superb at what they do. Good quality and quantity spread breakfast, made to order, and caters for dairy and gluten allergies. I can recommend the place based on staff alone, we felt very welcome and looked after. The building itself is beautiful, and quite a character on the inside. Its also situated only a 15 minute (jovial) walk from the cathedral...made traversing the city centre very convenient."
