It was such a thoughtful gesture and added an unexpected and fascinating highlight to our stay. Her enthusiasm and kindness made a big impression on us. "After a late arrival we were informed that the pool, sauna, steam room and gym were all still open which was a nice welcome after a long drive. We followed this by a drink in the bar area, service was noticeably stretched this particular evening due to a wedding party (possibly two), and an 80th birthday celebration meaning tables were not getting cleared and bar service was slow. However, the hotel is lovely, the staff are friendly and rooms very nice, although the shower in our room, 411, requires attention. Overall, we’re very much enjoyed our stay and would come again. "
