"Beautiful property in a beautiful location. The view was incredible, and the restaurant downstairs was wonderful. My son (11) and I stayed one night as we passed through the region and it was a perfect place."

"The hotel did not have heating at night. Bedroom sheet was wet due how damp it was. We spoke to the owner multiple times, he did not bother to come and check on the heat. He complained that we left an apple and some other items at the room at the time of checkout. There was NO trash bag, trash can, or soap. He complained when I told him that my child had dairy allergies. He said: “ Why do you have a problem?” Well, people have different allergies. That was the worst attitude I have ever...

"I brought three friends from the US for a hut to hut trip in the Dents du Midi and this was our starting point, The Auberge du Grand Paradis had recently been taken over by Kelly and her husband and they are doing a phenomenal job bringing this property back : the facilities are newly renovated and quaint, a typical Swiss chalet with the wonderful smell of wood all around, super clean, in the typical Swiss fashion. "Good stay in Chamonix. Check-in at 1700hrs is quite late and ahould be revised. As a seasoned traveler this is the first time I've ever seen such a late check-out followed by a 1000hrs check-out. Grateful that the check-out was extended to 1100hrs and yes the check-in time is indicated when making the selection for the hotel but just unfortunete. Overall nice stay at Balcon de Savoy."
