"It is our first night at New Zealand after arriving Christchurch. Friendly and professional staff at reception, checkin was smooth. Room was comfortable, shower was adequate. Breakfast was very nice with much of English breakfast and other selections in the buffet. Definitely enjoyed our stay. "

"We really enjoyed our stay and staff made excellent recommendations for dinner and places to see. The bar offers fresh juice of local fruits in the lobby for all hours. Nice for Uber access and near the trolley pick up spot and Regent street which offers many food choices. "

"I no longer drive and this place is on a bus route of the best metro bus system in the world, bar none, with the stop to the CBD 10 steps from the lodge. (Sidebar: Christchurch's metro system is incredible, high frequency, inexpensive - $4 a day - and a tourist's dream, very tolerant of errors of navigation). The Executive Studio at the Lodge was spacious and well furnished, and above all quiet. The kitchenette was very useful, allowing for takeaways, and the bathroom was larger than my own back home. About all I can say is: I'll be back, and request the same room!"
