"My spouse, her brother, and I stayed at Balsam for three nights, and we enjoyed it immensely. The property was accurately described, the beds were comfortable, and everything worked really well. The wi-fi was pretty fast, which was an improvement over many other properties at which we stayed. The A/C is a ductless heat pump that kept the main living area very comfortable in 100 degree heat. We set up the fan that was provided to blow cool air into the bedroom furthest away, and it worked well....

"This place was perfect for our family of 10. The hostess was very communicative, the house was wonderful. Plenty of towels. Plenty of linens. The washing machine had amazing capacity and the fact that there was two dryers was the icing on the cake. So close to the park and we saw marmots in the yard!"

"Our family of 6 (5 adults, & a 13 yr old) was very pleased with our stay. Condo was very clean , updated and nicely decorated to add that “home away from home” feel. The neighborhood is quiet and close to restaurants, gas, groceries and as well as a cute walk up/ drive thru coffee shop nearby. Cindy was friendly , informative and quick to reply . "This property was great and Alison (owner) was awesome in terms of communication. The house is at the end of the street in a very quiet neighborhood and literally about 2 steps to the community trail system. It's a very short walk to downtown Winthrop across the river. The place was clean and well stocked for our stay - highly recommend booking this place for a visit to Winthrop."

"Every detail of our stay was well thought out and taken care of - from welcome treats that were greatly enjoyed to games to provisions for cooking indoors if you wanted, to recommendations for places to eat out at and things to do. Waking up to towering pine views from the large windows and chance encounters with deer outside - and the gurgling river - you can truly find calm, relax while enjoying the beauty of the Cascades. "The cabin lived up to its description. Even though there are other cabins nearby, it was quiet and felt private during the middle of the week. For me, it was a good place to just relax and read a book on the back porch, while listening to the river not too far away."

"This is a lovely house ! The outside is a bit dull, but the inside is full of surprises. It has been modernized without losing it's charm and character. Fresh paint, hardwood floors, new windows and blinds, new tiling in bathroom etc. Very clean, very comfortable and very spacious. As a summer renter, I would have liked an outdoor area to sit. A small deck and a couple of chairs for morning coffee and evening drinks - just a suggestion !"
