"The house is lovely, great location and situation. The shore just below the house is rocky and charming, but requires caution descending to it (in the winter anyway). Sunrise over the south end of Monroe Island is just gorgeous. Views from every room. The kitchen is great, and the most generously supplied with cookware and dishes that I've ever seen in a rental. "If you’re looking for walking distance access to a sandy public beach in central Maine, this property will fit the bill. In our case it was Thanksgiving so no swimming in store but a huge advantage was walking distance to family property and access to more beds. It was clean, the beds comfortable, and although we didn’t cook much, the kitchen was well outfitted. When more family gatherings are scheduled, we will contact the owner. Susan from VA"
