"This property has a beautiful view from both the living and dining rooms as well as the deck and ranks high on the “charming cabin” list. The kitchen is fine, but does not include much in seasonings, coffee etc. The bathroom is very small, but fully updated with some storage that guest can use. Same for the bedroom. BUT! If you are over 6’ tall, you may feel uncomfortable here. My 6’ tall husband’s hair brushed the top of each doorway. The ceiling in the living room is only 7’. The ship’s ladder...

"This is a lovely property and we were fortunate to have the Maine coast on five consecutive sunny, warm days! As we packed up the car to leave it rained briefly. There are many wonderful walks nearby or a short drive or bike ride away. You really do not have to leave this peninsula to enjoy a holiday. "

"This is our 5th year staying at the cottage. Our first few visits were shared with a long-time friend but we have visited with our son, daughters and grandchild the last two years. It is just the right size for our family of 6.We love sitting on the porch and watching and listening to the waves as the tides come in and out. The sunrises are amazing and this years display of northern lights was magical. We also enjoy the nearby Farnsworth Museum, Langlaise Art Preserve and Finnish Heritage House."

"A 180 degree view of the ocean and islands. Most of the time you can only hear the water and the birds. Very good night sky, as there is little light pollution. Well appointed and equipped. Cottage now has a wall-mounted split air conditioner/heat unit that works great to eliminate humidity. "

"The house was in tune with the photographs. The house was clean but outside was in need of some care. The porch needed another sweep, the garbage from the last people was still there and both bins were full. We arrived on Sunday, but the garbage wasn't emptied until Friday when they mowed the lawn.
