"Was good, would stay again, but needs more choice on food menu "

"The hotel was fantastic, on arrival we were greeted at reception then shown to our room, the room was lovely and clean, spacious and quiet, there was air conditioning so we were able to regulate the temperature to suit us. The breakfast was superb, better than I have had in some time, a great selection of continental and cooked options were available. The bar area was very comfortable and we were given complimentary drinks in lieu of room cleaning on day 2 which was a nice surprise. The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk from town and there are plenty of places to eat/drink if you do not want to eat in the hotel bistro. The only slight negative would be the parking, it is on site but not included in the price and was £15 per day, I would expect this if the parking was off site which is normal for a city centre hotel, but as as it was on site I felt this was a little excessive. Previously I have paid £9/£10 for discounted off site parking. Having said that it would not put us off on the future, we were very happy with the hotel, it was comfortable and welcoming, overall an excellent hotel and we would definitely stay again."

"Great hotel, easy check in and very helpful with booking in my car. Service in bar & resturant was a little.alow, but it was busy but on the.flip.side food was worth waiting for as fabulous. Room.clean and warm."

"Great location right in front of York tower and a great deal with Hotel.com but remember to add car park price Nov24 £30 until 12.00 next day however the price is about the same everywhere Friendly attentive staff, lady on reception was excellent as was the breakfast manager regarding gluten free meals We will definitely be back "

"Having stayed previously at The Churchill it was an easy choice to make this year on our annual trip to York. The hotel is a leisurely 10 min stroll to the Minster. We had been allocated a suite as we were staying 3 nights,it was beautiful, spotlessly clean, with toiletries and beverages to make you feel at home. As before we had a cheese platter and drinks on our arrival in the hotel bar....so welcoming and relaxing. ALL staff were exceptional, so friends and helpful, especially Ian on reception:) Breakfast is extra but well worth. Hotel restaurant very good too. The hotel outside is delightful at night, all lit up with outside pods, even a Pizza oven serving delicious pizzas. All in all First Class...Thank you The Churchill xx"
