Had to wait some time as occupied with two maids, laundry. Also one girl, pulling the bags down the stairs from 5th floor. Not good for them, besides that, a nice stay, just observation from there part."

"It's a traditional, classy hotel. Service can be a little stretched at reception but the quality of the staff generally is a cut above the average for this grade of hotel. The restaurant is a reslly good experience. Although the menu is slightly limited the quality of the ingredients and the presentation is superb. The breakfast is full of choices and variety (with the exception of kippers as I recall - and possibly porridge...). The presentation is excellent again although cooking your own toast doesn't fit with the otherwise classy experience. There's plenty of free parking for guests, it's close to the shops, it's opposite the pier and it's a charming and elegant place to take a break. Paignton is lovely too."
