"I choose the Drake as a last minute booking, and I was not disappointed. My single room was very clean, spacious, with a decent wardrobe. Very friendly staff at both Reception and at breakfast. Great deal to have a delicious breakfast as well. Good car parking as well. "

"Lovely positioned hotel right on the beach we had a sea view from our room which was really wonderful. The leisure facilities were great too we used the indoor swimming pool and sauna. The food we had in the bar was really good and breakfast was excellent. Definitely recommend staying here we will visit again for sure. "

"A one night stay on a wet and windy weekend in January. After booking, the hotel phoned to say that they were actually closed that night but they could give us the same price at their other hotel, The Palace. All we were looking for was a room for the night; we really didn't expect it to be such a stunning room with a prime view. We would have been very happy with anything, but this was really superb. Whilst this review can't really tell you about the Queen's Hotel, it tells you a lot about the high standard of service and customer care that they give."

"The hotel is fairly new and therefore really modern and clean. There is a spa on site which is ideal after a days walking. The free shuttle bus into the heart of Salcombe is a great idea as the walk does involve a few steep hills although this is how we travelled into Salcombe most days. The hotel is right on the beach and is in a very quiet location. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. If like us you come here in the winter and you want to walk in and out of Salcombe then remember to take a torch with you as it is pitch black and a mobile may not be sufficient."

"Fantastic location, just up the road from where i stayed last year which was a bonus, lovely room and the shower was amazing for hangovers The staff were friendly and welcoming too I slept like a log on the super comfy queen bed for all 3 nights too, didnt want to leave "
