"Marcel & Connie were amazing hosts. The Peace Garden was a great way to spend our last week on the Big Island. The view from the front of the house AND the master bedroom are crazy beautiful and having full use of the spa (sauna/hot tub/cold plunge tub) made the whole trip. It was great knowing, no matter how far we drove or hiked during the day, we had that to come home to. The view house was perfectly sized for two people and well stocked. We were also given free rein to wander the property and pick any fruit we cared to. All in all a great experience!"

"Mitsuko and Curt were amazing hosts. The property is very clean and functional. The views from the Lanai were just beautiful. We slept very well in the comfortable bed and the kitchenette had everything we needed. The location is in a quiet area on a steep hill. If you ride bikes, the location is incredible for riding the Ironman Hawaii road from Kawaihae to Hawi and back. There are some steep hills on the route, but none as challenging as the ride back up to the house from the main highway. Some 20% grades. Was awesome. Mitsuko and Curt were very gracious. They brought us fresh fruits and snacks almost daily and offered to share their Ahi dinner with us. Way above and beyond anything expected. They are just the nicest people you will ever meet. The property is beautiful and the views even more. If you're looking for a super nice place to stay on the North Kohala coast with super nice hosts look no more. You found it. "

"The Ohana Hale is wonderful! A great place to relax and enjoy nature (lots of birds!) House is very private and peaceful, beautifully decorated, great views from the back lanai. Good communication with clear instructions on how to get there, get in, what to do, etc. The house was very clean, well equipped kitchen and comfy couches. There are 2 bedrooms but we only used the master suite. The bed was very comfortable, great closet and bathroom area. Having a washer and dryer was a plus. House has great AC and ceiling fans. Beach access is a short walk across the road. There are also great travel books available and a very informative binder with restaurant suggestions. Would definitely love to stay here again and can see why so people have done so!!"
