The great room with huge fireplace and view of the Blue Ridge is perfect for hanging out in the winder, and the big and well-equipped kitchen is excellent for big family dinners.This time, a big winder storm presented some winter challenges, and the host did a great job of making things right. "The home was delightful! This older home was beautiful and lovingly cared for. It was well furnished and the kitchen was stocked with all that we needed. I loved the extra touches-blankets throughout the house, snacks, shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispenser and high quality toilet paper. "Staying at this home was very pleasant. We had 8 ppl and all were very comfortable. The beds are wonderful. A huge problem is the road leading up to/from the house. It is horrible - full of ruts and holes. We had to walk the wedding cake up parts of it because we were too afraid to have it in the car. Also as stated by another reviewer Stink Bugs were a problem but only in one of the bedrooms and I brought spray and was able to control them. Except for the road this was a lovely place to spend...
