Easily walkable to everything. It took us about a day to get used to the train traffic. Our Ford Explorer fits in the garage, but exiting the garage took a little effort (I felt like Austin Powers) but it was doable and a safe parking spot far outweighed any challenges. "This property was perfect for our party. We walked downtown for meals and the race. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space for our group of four but will accommodate more. The communication with host was great. Others have mentioned the temperature control issues. It must have been fixed because we had no issue. Doors and stairs were squeaky. "

"We had a great stay. The view is amazing. We just sat and watch the clouds move through valley and past the mountain. The house was very clean and accommodating. So close to the center of town. Very convenient. The host was very helpful too. "

"House is very spacious with comfortable beds. We had one issue with the setting on the water heater upon arrival, but the host was quick with communication to resolve the issue. Very quick walk to the restaurants along the main street of White Salmon. Will definitely book again for my next visit to the gorge."

"Beautiful home in Hood River. Slightly long walk, very short drive. The house was perfect for our group of adults, but there were plenty of amenities for kids, too. Beds were comfy. Check in and out was seamless. "

"Wow what an amazing view. We only spent two nights but would stay here again. It was also in a good location near a lot of things. As we were leaving we had a great breakfast at the Egg River Cafe. Even if you do like we did and get one pancake to share you they are a must try. The only thing I did not really care for was the fact I booked on VRBO and then the management company wanted me to sign up for their app which I did not do."

"Beautiful house with view of Mt Hood, in affluent neighborhood with great walks in a wooded setting. Nice hot tub (4 place) & small sauna in master bath. A few minutes North out of town means bring what you need or drive to get to a store, etc. Nice place; the best!"

"Property has a great view of the river and down the gorge. We had sunny weather when we arrived and got to experience some lightning later in the evening. Property was clean and perfect for just the two of us while we explored the Hood River area. Definitely recommend the Bigfoot museum in Boring, OR and the Antique Aeroplane and Car museum. Finished off the trip with a quick hike up Beacon Rock just before the rain came back. Great place to stay if you get the chance. "
