But be aware that a big apartment complex is being built next door, with trucks and caterpillars starting to rumble around shortly after 7 in the morning. You should also know that the dirt road leading to the property can be difficult to pass with a regular vehicle after heavy rain."

"Our stay, although short, was very nice at Castillo Romano. Theo and Morena made sure to welcome me and my family with open arms. Morena is an amazing cook and very friendly. Don Theo is the best! He helped us with anything we needed in the house and even gave us good advise for our trip to El Salto Del Limón. The castle is well kept and has amazing views. If ever back in the Terrenas with my huge family, I’ll be sure to book again!"

"Home was beautiful but they charged for a small towel and cup. Make sure to count everything which is very tedious to do. Also one of the bedrooms has mold and they didn’t do anything about it and we couldn’t use it. Additionally the mosquitoes were everywhere- bring lots of repellent "

"Estrella del Norte was just that. An amazing stay, the villa was in great condition. Nina was beyond fantastic with her service and her cooking. She went above and beyond for everything. We would def stay here again. I do suggest that if you go in the wetter or colder month to have a 4x4 vehicle as the roads are not the best and the location of the house has a few steep slopes. If traveling in a large group it’s best to have 2 vehicles since the weight also impacts the drive up hill. As for the...

"The villa was just like in the pictures. The communication process throughout the stay and registration with the owner assistant Franceska was great. The villa Host Samuel and his wife Marie were amazing, attentive to what we needed, and welcoming. Everything about our stay was great no complains, although coming up to the villa was a bit of a journey but worth it."

"The house was beautiful, the location was perfect and the staff that checked us in and out were helpful and kind. Only cons were that the electric bill was kind of high and the cost is not based on the current exchange rate. The hot tub isn’t hot, so it’s running and you’re paying the electric but who wants to get in a cold tub? Also, the linens, towels and pillows could stand to be replaced. Still things things would not deter me from going back, just helpful to be aware of these things...

"Love this place. It may seem small but it has everything it needs!! Fully surrounded by trees and nature, and there’s even a little river close by. There is hot water, and also an included breakfast, loved this since I didn’t have to worry about waking up and trying to come up with something to eat. If he food was really good.
