"It is hard to explain how amazing this lodging is. I agree with other reviewers—if you are looking for a five star experience, you need to stay in a fancy hotel in Samana. If you are looking for breathtaking views, a rustic environment, and an amazing element of privacy—you are looking at the right place. Every room feels like it own bungalow, the included breakfast was delicious, and the smash burgers were awesome! The staff was attentive and the view of the bay was second to none. It is a hair raising drive up to the hotel and a hike from the parking to your room (staff will help with luggage) but once you are settled in—YOU WON’T want to leave! It’s great, we already can’t wait for our next stay…"

"Poor quality cosmetics in bath"

"I have just stayed here with my daughter, if you are looking for a quiet, natural paradise, this is the place to be. We were warmly welcomed and well looked after, especially by the fantastic ladies in reception, Angie,Maria and ‘Gilotti’😉 Our favorite spot was the rooftop pool, so tranquil and has a cosy beanbag area and bar. A real suntrap. We went on a couple of great excursions and staff were really helpful when we wanted to go to different places. Highly recommend, we are fully recharged and refreshed. Blissful"

"We stayed in early March for 6 days and loved every day. Frankly, everything was great. We didn't get to try the spa or excursions because we had a 15mo old baby with us, which takes a lot of time, but just the pools and the beach were wonderful. The food was amazing. Each restaurant had fantastic food. Even the breakfast buffet was phenomenal. For drawbacks, getting to the property is a major drag. It's a 3hr ride by car from Santo Domingo. Not much they can do about that, I guess. What they can improve on are two things: quality of coffee (didn't enjoy that at all) and the staff needs to get a bit better on their English. Some are better than others, but most of the time, communication was challenging. You can also communicate with your "ambassador" via WhatsApp and even that was not all smooth sailing, so yeah, staff's English needs to improve. But don't let this hold you back, even with what it is now, it's been a wonderful stay."
