Excellent property for families and friends getaway

"This was the perfect place except for the beds. They are like sleeping on concrete. Just beware. Beautiful on everything else. Too bad the owner skipped out on comfortable mattresses. Everyone complained about the beds. "

"We had a rough start with communication and getting into the property when we arrived late. I was told I would get the check-in details at 2:45 pm. That did NOT happen. I drive for 4 hours and then had to wait and contact via What’sApp, which was never specified in earlier communication with the property manager/owner. "The villa was beautiful and spacious! Only one thing the hot water wasn't working and maybe they can add a safety bar for when stepping up or out of the tub/shower because it's a high step. The host was wonderful and went out of her way to make us feel like home."

"This house is beautiful and made us feel safe and welcome on our first overseas vacation. The owner helped us find sloths in the trees and left fruit out by the patio for the birds which made our mornings even more peaceful."

"The house was very nice. Not over the top fancy but comfortable. Plenty of beds and bathrooms for large groups. Would have liked some additional seating in the living room but the outdoor seating made up for it. Kids really enjoyed the pool with a great view of the volcano right out front. At one point during our stay the washer broke and the host arranged for the cleaning lady to do our laundry for us which she graciously did. "Our large family had a great stay at this property! The grounds were beautiful and the view of the volcano when it wasn't covered with clouds was beautiful. The kids had a great time at the rope swing which was only a 5 minute walk from our place! The concierge service was very helpful with planning activities and getting us places. We would definitely come back!"

"This is a pretty little spot close to downtown, attractions, and with a view of the volcano. Birds, were singing and active. Two lizards and a row of leaf cutter ants greated us each day. Pool was a great way to end our days. We had a couple criticisms to share. Two rooms had an outside light that shown through the shear curtains. Sitting room could use a love seat. We felt cramped during a long rain storm watching a movie. We had a great time and would definitely reccomend."

Great property just 10 minutes drive from La Fortuna

"The property is super clean and exactly like the pics/description. The outdoor pool area is the real gem as we spent most of our time there. WiFi was great. There is also a Sloth sanctuary at the beginning of the road that was an awesome experience (walkable). The property manager was a delight to commute with and we would definitely return when coming back to the area. "

"We loved the house. Two adults three boys age 10,9,9. The pool was refreshing house was perfect. Very convenient. About 10-15 min to la fortuna. The management company was very helpful and Mario went above and beyond. Recommendations for activities were perfect. We saw so many animals on the property, toucans, giant male iguana, coati, tons of birds. The local soda was very good and the family who runs it very nice and helpful. We could not have asked for a better place.thank you for sharing...

"This property was everyone's favorite from the amazing views of the area including the volcano, the inside/outside living and the bonus entertainment area with an amazing lookout. We were greeted by an iguana by the pool and everyone fell in love with the views."

"My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights, and the property was excellent! The cabin was clean, with a beautiul view of this little aritificial pond that had ducks and fish in it. We were only a 5 minute drive from La Fortuna for groceries, and any time we communicated with Marco, we received a prompt response."

"The hotel is well located. Area is beautiful and well maintained. Pools are amazing. Pool bar is exceptionnal. Maybe more attention on the rooms...small renewals could improve our general feedback (no water at a moment, bath in bad shape). Staff is exceptionnal."

"Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay at Hotel El Silencio del Campo in a family cabin. There was tons of space in the room, and lots of towels and amenities in the room. It rained our entire visit so we especially enjoyed using the thermal pools. The breakfast was nice though we would have liked a few more options to choose from. The highlight was the staff! While everyone from housekeeping to the serving staff was fantastic, we wanted to shout out Elio at the front reception who provided exceptional customer service. We would stay here again and would recommend to our friends and family."

Amazing experience for half the price of resorts

"This place was INCREDIBLE. The views were stunning and there is a 15 minute walking trail that makes you feel like youre in the middle of the jungle. Staff was very friendly and the food at the restaurant delicious. The mineral pools were only have full but it was nice and were included in the stay. Id skip the more expensive resorts and go here for a quaint but still top teir cabin lodging experience. "
