"I booked this on its proximity to the Christmas market. Thecheck in is through the bistro and the staff could not have been more helpful. They even carried our bags to the lift. The luft is quirky but functional. The room was massive andhad a shabby chic feel. It had a fridge and kettle and a huge bed. Theviews from the windows were amazing and right into the square. "Had a lovely weekend break with my girlfriend and enjoyed every bit of this hotel - my only criticism is that they advertise pool, jaquizzi and spa - but the pool is basically a pond in the garden (with fish in it) and spa is a small out house with tiny sauna in it. They also charge an extra fee for using the spa, which is disappointing considering the amount you spend on the room. We decided against using the spa for that reason. "

"Great location, it’s a 15 min walk to old central Bruges. The room is a little small, but comfortable, although some nicer pillows would be good. Be aware the walk up is steep and narrow, like so many European rooms. The breakfast part is a little pricey but nice, I think if you book it in advance you can save a few$. The parking is close, but it’s a tight fit in the garage for anything small suv size or bigger. Overall a great stay."

"Thomas was a very courteous and helpful host throughout. The accommodation worked very well for our family of four and the location was ideal. "

"Warmly welcomed in person into the grand and beautiful house. Ample parking. Our hosts assisted with dinner reservations a short walk away and had a delicious breakfast spread the next morning. The family room was very spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable with the softest sheets. It’s evident that the hosts enjoy treating their guests to luxurious little details. I only wish we had the time to spend another night and enjoy the grounds more. "

"This property is a real treasure in that it’s managed by the owners who greet you upon arrival and provide you with a wonderful breakfast. Rooms are small, and there is a lack of storage, but the charm of this place and location made up for that small shortcoming. "What a beautiful property to visit Bruges! It was so quiet and secluded but near all the sights. Our room was so spacious and had a balcony that we enjoyed tea on in afternoon. The bathroom and bedroom was luxurious! Immanuel was a fantastic host and the breakfast was so delicious and fresh. "Always like to stop here. Very clean, kind stuff, amazing breakfast. But will never book again the budget room in the hot summer. It is impossible to sleep as it is very warm and the ventilator does not help. Would be nice to have air-conditioning. Luckily I got a Comfort room for the last night and we were happy with my dog there. We'll be back 🐕❤️"

"I loved the age of the building, dating in parts from 1470, and fitting in with the historical architecture and atmosphere of Bruges. My spacious room overlooked the canal, which was a treat. The hotel is a short walk from the city centre and a perfect base for exploration on foot. The breakfast buffet selection is excellent. All the staff members I met were extremely helpful and friendly."

"Service and facilities can't be faulted. It was excellent and made my stay enjoyable. Besides the excellent service, it is affordable and well situated, being 10 minutes or so walk from most of the important sights and restaurants. The rail station is also a 15-20min walk away, while a bus stop/interchange is 5 minutes walk away. One downside noted was the strong smell of old sewerage pipes in a section of the corridor immediately after the reception desk. I appreciate that this often can be a problem in old buildings, but until this is fixed, I would recommend the hotel place some candles in the area, which should burn-off/mask the smell. Would I recommend the hotel, yes! "

"Sophie on the reception desk was fabulous. She provided loads of information on places to go and to eat. She also arranged an early check in for us. The staff in the restaurant at breakfast were friendly and efficient. Shame the bar was closed, but otherwise great. Thank you. "
