"Lovely quiet villa. Sadly there was a fair bit of maintenance required to get this property up to a good standard, such as decking boards broken and lifted, stairs chipped and splinters hanging out. We were also disappointed in the lack of communication by staff. We found them to be very reserved. On trips on the free shuttle to coco mart, the driver didn’t say a word to us. "Villa Tupai has beautiful gardens and lovely traditional timber buildings, but is let down by the staff and details. The staff have a bad habit of lingering around when they are not needed and with a huge area of gardens and living areas, choosing to wait all day until you are in an area to come and clean around you, spoiling the peace and quiet. "There is not anything I would fault with the hotel. The staff are so attentive. The breakfast buffet is fantastic and has a really good selection of everything. "Beautiful and peaceful resort. Perfect for couples looking for a getaway. Highly recommend the villa rooms as you have your own private pool. The restaurant food was delicious.
