"Check in was easy, bedrooms a good size and very comfortable beds. Heated towel rail & extractor not working. Tea & coffee facilities and a room safe. Cleaning staff could be a little more attentive during the stay. Food is very good quality and very well cooked, delightful dining room staff, thanks to Rory, Alex & Beth. Will return in the future to this ancient castle complete with peacocks!"

"Had a fantastic stay at the wild pheasant. Staff are lovely. Room was for 3 but only set up for 2, the staff couldnt be any quicker having the room amended for the 3 of us. Afternoon tea was gorgeous , spa immaculate and not overcrowded. Enjoyed a shoulder and back massage to finish the trip. It was perfect. Also very close to the centre nice 15 minute walk along the river"

"It's a wonderful Hotel within a nice tutor style residence. The location is excellent just a short drive to the coast and Liverpool. Great place to make a base for a few days on my way back down to London. My room was very large, excellent comfortable bed, well appointed bathroom, heating, water pressure and very clean. I had a great view of the grounds, I as on the top floor in one of the attic room. The staff were particularly pleasant, very friendly too. Great location, great Hotel and pleasant stay. I'd stay again."
