"We loved the location and the rooms,we had a room overlooking the River Dee. The room looked to be clean on anrrival but around the edges was full of dust and the bathroom again just needed that little extra touch. Check in was easy and friendly. Bonus was free parking. Just unfortunate the restaurant was closed (we did know about this) Overall we would stay again."

"An excellent city centre choice in an historic old coaching inn. The room was comfortable clean and the breakfast good albeit limited to an English breakfast /cereals. Great bar and choice of drinks. A really enjoyable stay and excellent staff. No parking but everything you need is within a short walk. Restaurants, market, theatre is 2 minutes walk, main shopping street 5 mins stroll. "

"Great stay , comfortable room.. i would suggest the family room would have been better placed into the double and single bed room as there room has much more space and with 1 double 1 single in there seemed alot of space wasted .. no window to open in the family room , with 4 people in there an open window would be great. The fire exit green light in the bedroom is WAY to bright. Overall lovely decor , clean room , friendly staff.. Thank you "

"Stayed in room 4, very noisy due to main road outside window, church bell chimes every 15 mins and street light directly outside window. Room window has broken pain of glass that has been broken a while due to the dirt on windows. NO WI-FI in hotel, which hotel advertises is available but it is not, staff not prepared to help with this issue. Room spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast takes 20 mins to arrive at table after order taken but was hot tasty and generous with the amount of food...

"Wonderful stay at the Eagle. Great staff, lovely comfy room and great breakfast. Easy walking distance to the centre of Chester, the river and the city walls. We'll definitely be coming back. "
