"This was a lovely stay in a nice peaceful location and very easy to find. I would suggest it would be a stretch for 6 people but for a couple or family with 2-3 kids it would be perfect especially if the kids needed separate rooms. Hosts were great with very good communication throughout. Definitely would return again. Hosts were love"

"Comfortable and well equipped home from home. Welcoming and communicative hosts and an excellent guide to the local area. The parking disc was a handy and thoughtful idea! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Cooked a few nights in, kitchen is fine and functional. The bath is large and lovely and the bed comfortable . "Our family of 7 stayed in York for a few days as a bridge between London and Edinburgh. Our stay at 58 Marygate was everything we hoped it would be."

"I stayed with a group of friends, all mid 30’s, looking for a stunning venue in the countryside. It’s hard to please our entire group but everyone was very impressed with the cottage and location. Absolutely beautifully renovated and decorated - the perfect blend of old and new. Immaculately clean, every room is unique and the downstairs is perfect for socialising. We used the kitchen area as a central hub and in the evenings we put the log burner on in the snug room to play board games and...

Communication was prompt, the cottage was immaculate when we arrived and fully equipped, and the village of Burythorpe was beautiful! Highly recommend popping into the pub across the street as it was lovely. "This cottage is represented well by the photographs on the website. It had everything we needed for our stay. We are two adults and two children (15, 12) and there was adequate room for us all. There were no issues with parking directly outside the property, we managed to get a space everytime. Helmsley is a lovely place, everyone was very friendly. This cottage was an excellent base for exploring the nearby area."

"Very few properties are perfect and this property had a few issues, but these pale in comparison to the convenience, location, professionalism, and cleanliness. The staff more were truly amazing and they themselves deserve five stars. They were accommodating, considerate, professional, efficient, kind, and truly represented the very best of York. I would be inclined to make these apartments my go to place for any future visits to York."
