"Sibu Lodge is absolutely beautiful. The grounds and common areas are well-kept, and the room was lovely. There was a small fridge and we received a complimentary half-bottle of wine. We had happy hour drinks and food at the restaurant, and a lovely breakfast was provided. The town was about a 10-minute walk, so accessible, but the return trip to the hotel was very steep. The staff at the hotel set up our reservations for a zip line tour and a coffee farm tour, and we were able to include transportation for both activities. This is a lovely hotel, and I highly recommend it."

"Amazing place to stay. I was in Costa Rica for a month and stayed several places, this one by far was the cleanest of them all. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms spacious and stunning. Wildlife all around, the views and the food are also wonderful. I would love to come back and was sad I only got to stay 2 nights here. would recommend to anyone. 5 stars all around."

"This property has the feel of a mountain lodge. It feels very relaxing. That also means it won’t be a 5 star hotel with all those amenities. For what it offers high up in the mountain, we are very appreciative. The hot water can run cold if too many people use at same time ( a common issue anywhere) but it will heat up after peak usage. "

"Staying at the Monteverde Lodge was one of the highlights of our CR trip. The setting with the jungle/window outside the property was tranquil. The food is amazing! Everything was presented beautifully. They set us up on several awesome tours with Rafael and we saw lots of wildlife we would never see on our own. The gardens and trails are gorgeous. We even saw a pack of capuchin monkeys climbing over the roof when we left. The staff did everything possible to ensure an excellent stay."

"The room is clean and dark so good for sleeping. The walls are a bit thin if you are super sensitive to noise. You have to walk awhile for breakfast (but you could drive), so if you have an elderly person, it could be a bit of a walk! But the breakfast is pretty nice and the view is really nice. This is right in town. There’s a fun bridge to walk to for going to some of the rooms and nature is all around—you might see monkeys or toucans if you get up on the earlier side. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. You will want to be friends with them! "
