"This is our favorite place we've ever stayed. I don't think the listing does this place justice. The property is amazing. We were bummed that our stay wasn't longer and that we didn't have the time to walk some of the trails on the property. Wonderful staff, great rooms, the most amazing views day and night. The on-site restaurant is fantastic. If we have the chance to return to Monteverde, we will schedule around making sure we can stay here again. "

"Unfortunately due to tight international layovers we missed our first two days in the area, and only stayed one night here. The staff was so accommodating and nice and even tried to look to extend our stay with them (even though we couldn’t because we already had another stay booked elsewhere). Most of the staff was fluently bilingual. The reception desk was very helpful at finding good local places. What a beautiful, unique place! I wish we could’ve actually enjoyed being here. Breakfast was delicious! "

"We arrived much too early but they were able and happy to accommodate us early and on top of that we were given an upgrade as Expedia VIP guests to their best rooms. This was the loveliest hotel that we've ever stayed in. Wonderful views to the Pacific, luxurious room and amenities, a hummingbird singing in the tree outside and to top it all off we had a private plunge pool with hot water warm enough to ease all the aches and pains of a long hike through the Agouti Reserve adjoining the hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful, always smiling and interested in our day. One of our new favourites!"

"The staff was extremely kind and helpful and the rooms were magnificent. Very comfortable bed and great views. The brewery on the property was fun to hang out at with great grilled cheese sandwiches."

"Quiet, beautiful. My kids were able to see agouti, coati, and all sorts of birds from our balcony in the mornings and the staff was very friendly and enthusiastic about teaching them about the animals. One of the restaurants had a great little nature walk below the terrace so the kids had a great time running around while we waited for the food, which was also delicious. The hotel was well located so most of the things we wanted to do in Monteverde were a short drive or even walkable. Would stay here again!"

"Just a quick walk from Santa Elena proper. Parking was a challenge, having 3 separate parking locations (and the very steep uphill didn't help, but no fault of the property). Great service, but the transport for the tour I booked never arrived."

"This was such a cute place to stay and one of my favorites of our 10 day trip. The breakfast is yummy and the view from the breakfast is so beautiful. While we were eating, a monkey came up to us along with some birds. You can also spend some time bird watching which was beautiful. The actual room is nice and spacious, great for a big group of people or even just for two like us. We had a kitchen and a cute balcony. The staff is very pleasant and gave great recoomendations. I would stay here again "
