"The house is old but kept clean and cozy. It is at a high position on the mountain with a good view of the forest and the ocean. We waked up morning with birds' song and the hummingbirds are not afraid of human at all. The meal prepared by Lilliana is very tasty. Our family enjoyed our stay of 2 nights."

"The place was very cute but the check in for us was a nightmare. Could not get in contact with anyone and couldn’t find the exact location. Hotels.com was on the verge of finding us another place because nobody would answer the phone at the number provided when luckily another property owner knew of the place and helped us find it. Should just say in the listing to check in at Mar hotel or Don Taco."

The house and garden are a conglomerate of multiple rooms on the side of a hill that are not connected to each other but you can access from outside. Each room has its own balcony view and charm. "We loved this house! It was so beautiful with all the unique wood accents, had space for our kids to play, was very clean, and felt like we were nestled right in the middle of the jungle. Though it was only a 5 min drive to get to town and the main restaurants. We wished we'd stayed here longer. Daniela was very helpful with tour information and easy to communicate with. The kitchen was very qell eqipped, as were the bathroom supplies. Thanks for a great stay!"

"We loved our stay in this cozy cabin. The location was stunning although I would not recommend for someone with mobility issues as the walk up/down is steep but there are stairs. The place is rustic and there were some bugs, after all it is literally in the jungle. I thought it was charming. It is the rainy season so the trees grow quickly and thus the view was obstructed. The property manager was very attentive and answered all of our questions. Would stay here again, no doubt."

"Comfortable, fun house with an absolutely incredible view of the forest. The porches are perfect rain or shine and the extended yard down the trail is great for observing birds and butterflies. Felt immersed in the countryside. Close enough to town that going out is relatively quick and easy. Road into the house was in good shape."

"The house was perfect. We had our two kids (3 & 5) and my dad with us and the three bedroom house was great. Well furnished, clean, and the host Daniela was amazing. The location took us a minute to find (Waze and Google Maps don’t have accurate directions) but Daniela gave us a video of the route showing where to turn. Once we found it, it was easy. "We enjoyed staying in this unique little house, the gardens, all the amenities and the peace of the surroundings. The caretaker came to meet us and showed us around as soon as we came. Wifi was excellent. Access was easy. We had everything we needed."

"The husband/wife hosts were so kind, welcoming and helpful. The lodging itself wasn’t exactly to our tastes, but adequate. It had a lot of ‘stuff’ on all the surfaces. Apparently, Monteverde can be quite windy and at night it got very noisy-sounded like maybe roofing lifting and then slamming down. The first time it happened it scared us half to death! "Absolutely adorable cabins with the necessities to make your own meals if you desire. The employees were so helpful and nice. We felt like we were at summer camp, in the best way possible. In my opinion, this was way better than any hotel. "

"Our stay at this home was amazing. Patrick, the host, made it so easy. He scheduled a car to pick all 15 of us up from the airport and had a delicious Costa Rican dinner ready. All the food that was made for us was delicious! He gave us suggestions for excursions and booked anything that needed reservations. The house is beautiful with so many unique details. The views of the lake are breathtaking. The house was very clean. The pool and hot tub were great to go in after a long day of traveling....

"Beautiful place with an outstanding view across the lake and a very nice pool area. We enjoyed the birds attracted to the flowers planted everywhere. The unit was spacious and very pleasant with a sitting area outside. The only downside was that we did not enjoy the hotel's lunch and dinner service but the cook may change and there are close-by alternatives. "

"We had a lovely stay. Very helpful staff. The reception team helped book a last minute guided walk in Monteverder NP. Bar staff were very friendly, even gave us some traditional Costa Rican cooking tips! Big room with a lovely view, when the weather allowed. Breakfast is definitely skewed in favour of those who like eggs! But very nice with fresh fruit and tea/coffee/juice."

"Everything about Camino Verde B&B was top notch! Diego and his team at the front desk were super friendly and very helpful. The breakfast staff were friendly and provided fast service. You had a choice of five different breakfast combos that would suffice all diet types. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. We would definitely recommend a stay here!"
