"The property itself is wonderful for a family vacation. Ample room for everyone with the library/entertainment area, the dining room, deck, covered swimming pool and hot tub and every room with its own bathroom. Patrick couldn't have been more helpful. It was like having your own Concierge. Very helpful coming up with activities and and recommendations. The staff were friendly and took care of everything. The breakfasts delicious and large. It all worked flawlessly. "

"The house is so cute and cozy! It has everything that you may need for your stay. From the kitchen to the different rooms, everything is set. It is private and the lake was indeed in front. "The place was dirty and there was so many bugs and creatures everywhere! Spiders, cockroaches and ants crawling all around the place. I was in bed and a spider ran across the covers! We were told to spray bug spray around to prevent this, but also couldn’t open the windows as it would let more creatures in! So we were coughing the entire time because of the spray and couldn’t sleep. We left the property two days early and only stayed one night "

The house was incredibly clean and offered lots of space for our house. Sitting on the patio looking out on the forest never gets old. "The property had amazing views. The best part was waking up in the morning to the sound of birds and other wild life and having chef prepared breakfast :) Some reviews did mention the bugs: you're in nature; it's expected and you get used to it and they do have pest control. No AC, but they provided fans and it was comfortable. Place is MUCH larger than the pictures. Highly recommend hiring James to cook for you!! We had him prepare breakfast daily! He's amazing and it makes getting started...

"Wonderful cosy cottage deep in Monteverde. The drive from St Elena is worth it! There are lots of bugs at night but it is manageable. So many birds! So serene! Comfy beds. Yummy welcome food.
