"Really loved this property, the beds were comfortable and I’m thankful we were allowed to bring our pets. Great proximity to the wineries for a little getaway after being on the lake. Loved that there was a kayak and Lilly pad to float on. The only con was that the deck looked a lot nicer in the photos, none of the sitting areas were inviting and were pretty dirty and needed a little tlc but the floating dock was clean and we just brought camping chairs down there which was totally fine."

"This was a very nice home to spend Christmas. Access from the main road is good and it is easy to get to. The house is a nice size and has a nice large dining room to have family meals together. It is a very cozy warm home with a nice large fenced in yard. One of the neighbors told us it was once the mayors home. I would stay here again. "

"Absolutely beautiful home. Gas Fireplace inside and out was perfect. Grill was good! Could use some new cooking pans, but the place was absolutely wonderful. No cell service but had good internet so that wasn't a problem at all. We will definitely rent this in the future. Host was extremely responsive to any questions and provided sound answers and solutions. Thank you for a wonderful memory and weekend! "

"My family’s and I stay here was absolutely amazing. The property location is absolutely stunning with amazing views of the mountains and the cows are a plus. The Host was the sweetest and kindest person I’ve ever met, easy to get a hold of if we ever needed anything or just a simple question. "We chose to stay at the Toe River Retreat based upon the views and outdoor space, beautiful interior and cool garage rec space...and it did not dissapoint! When we arrived the interior was every bit as welcoming as it looked in the pictures, and it was very clean and the furniture was very comfortable. However, we really did not stay inside much because the outdoor space was awesome and the views were amazing and ever changing. It was the first place I went when I woke up and after each days...

"Just popped in to check on our college student. We weren’t at the property long but its access to campus was fantastic. Property was clean and worked for our short stay. Plenty of pans to make dinner and washer and dryer worked great to get my college students clothes ready to go. "
