"I dont understand how anyone can grade this hotel as anything other than a 9 or 10. My wife and I loved our oceanfront room view and sounds of the ocean. The room was clean, and despite what others have said in reviews, we didnt find it outdated at all. Shuttle service was a big part of our enjoyment allowing us the ability to explore the area. It was easy to access and drivers very friendly. So much to do in the immediate area or just a couple of miles away. When we return to the west coast, we will stay at LaJolla Shores Hotel!"

"Within 10 min walk to the beach, 10 minute drive to Carlsbad village and 5 minute away from the outlets. It was convenient for our purpose of visit. Breakfast options are nice (they had biscuits with gravy and egg with cheese omelette), plus the standard continental breakfast. Our room was on the smaller side but still good. Overall, a nice stay!"
